Deep Vibratory Compaction Weighted Average
Overview
The Deep Vibratory Compaction Weighted Average feature allows the user to calculate the cone resistance weighted average in a new PointID of 3 associated PointIDs.
Weighted Average calculation
q_{c\quad avg}= \left ( q_{c \quad midpoint} + \frac {q_{ c \quad half}+ q_{c third}} {2}\right) /2 |
Configuration
To calculate, first create a new PointID and set the final depth and the elevation and other metadata in Point table if needed. Then go to Point_Parameters table, and in the first free row, select the new PointID you have created from the dropdownlist in the PointID field. Eneter associated PointIDs are stored in the following fields: Associated_PointID_Midpoint, Associated_PointID_Half, and Associated_PointID_Third.
Enter Associated_PointID_Before_Compaction too to link it to the report, but it isn't part of the calculation.
Related output option such as the Design line, print (or not) the surface line, etc. can be selected from this table.
To run the calculation select Add-Ins > Datgel CPT Tool > Deep Vibratory Compaction Weighted Average. Cone resitance, sleeve friction and u_2 will be calculated and populated in CPT_DATA table. To calculate the Cone Resistance Moving Average and other parameters, run Add-Ins > Datgel CPT Tool > Batch Calculation and calculate the selected PointId.
Reports
The CPT Tool includes two log reports for Deep Vibratory Compaction Weighted Average results. These reports show the associated PointsId I_c (Robertson and Wride, 1998) value, hightlighted for I_c > 1.9, and the Transition Zones calculated according Transition Zones.
