SQL Server timeout errors

Problem

Using SQL Server and when exporting data or outputting reports error messages stating Timeout display.

Solution

You should set these registry keys to a bigger number

  • Up to and including gINT 10.0: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\ODBC\QueryTimeout
  • gINT 10.1: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Access Connectivity Engine\Engines\ODBC\QueryTimeout
