About Datgel Lab and In Situ Tool

The Datgel Lab and In Situ Tool gINT Add-in (DLST) is a geotechnical and construction materials Lab Information Management System (LIMS) within gINT. It is designed to store the details of collected samples and specimens, the scheduling of laboratory tests on those samples / specimens, store and calculate test data, perform automated checking of the completed test results against user defined specification criteria and to report the test results on a range of reports. It is purchased and licensed separately from the host gINT software, and is supported by Datgel.
Key features of the Add-in include:

System Requirements

gINT

The product runs optimally using gINT 8.2.008 or 8.1.2.008 (23/Jun/2010 12:00:00 PM) or higher.

The use of gINT Professional or gINT Professional Plus is recommended as these versions include fence and graph reports which are featured in the DLST. The program will run using gINT Logs, and data entry could be done, but the reports are not available.

Datgel Lab and In Situ Tool DLL program version 3.0.12 or higher

Hardware and Operating System

No additional system requirements to those for gINT.

Required Windows Components

  1. Windows Installer 4.5

  2. .NET 4.5.1 Framework

Installation and Activation

Before the DLST can be used you need to:

  1. Complete the installation procedure (see Installation and Basic Configuration)

  2. Activate the product (see Datgel Product Licensing System User Guide)

To make the most of this guide, good familiarity is required with the following technologies and environments:

Each of the fields in the project tables have been coloured to improve the data entry process as indicated the following table.

Calculated Field – data is written to this field by Datgel's code

Brown - Green

Pastel Beige

Data Entry Field – data should be entered into this field, or data in this field influences the calculation

Pastel Red

Legacy Data Field – historic data entered here, is typically from an old database

Pastel Blue

Output Option – used to control how data displays on a report

Pastel Orange

Remark or Metadata Field – additional data associated with the primary information
