Cluster / Cluster 2/ 3 fields in Point table: what is the function?

Answer

The cluster fields allow you to tag PointIDs, for example to tag PointIDs at same location that were drilled for different reasons, such as one for PMT, one for Sampling, another for a different piezometer depth.
