Check 3 - Data Completeness Headings
Introduction
The data completeness headings check ensures that in the electronic file, the Groups contain all the Headings and data values that are presented in the paper or PDF report. For example, if the paper log displays an SPT N Value result of 35, then the Group Heading "ISPT_NVAL" should exist and the Record in the value should be 35.
Procedure
Similar to check 2, the data completeness headings check is cannot be entirely checked automatically. The first part in this check is to use the AGS Checker log report to spot out some errors.
Open the AGS Checker log, and read through the error messages and the FYI: labelled messages for any messages that would indicate that data is missing from the group.
Also, in the DATA STATISTICS section in the AGS Checker log, review the statistics from 3 onward to ensure that the statistical data found in this log is consistent with the paper log reports. For example, if you have data for the strata description column on the log report for the PointID BH1, then BH1 should not be listed in number 7: Holes with no data in 'GEOL' group.
Open up the project file in which you imported the AGS data in gINT and for every column in the paper/pdf log, find the associated Group and Headings, and ensure that the data represented in the paper/pdf log corresponds to the values in the electronic file.
